Week 19 was a little over-cast but all-in-all a nice day
for playing frolf in a flash flood channel.
Nick's Highlights: The only real highlight of Nick's day
was a 60 ft+ shot on #8 (432) for the Quatro.
Tim's Highlights: Tim started strong with the Hammer clinic.
Solo Deuce on #13 (260 ft) from 12 ft+ out.
Casey's Highlights: Casey was blessed with the magic ability
that no matter what his shot would roll down to the center
of the channel.
Jesse's Highlights: Jesse decided to visit every tree
possible. I believe at one point he hit 5 trees on a single
hole.
Tina's Highlights: Tina hung in there tough with the difficult
course. She started to experiment with the Hammer.

Week 18 started off with Monsoon like rain, fortunately
that ended about 2 hours before we tee'd off..
Casey's Highlights: Casey put on a Driving Clinic with
his surgical strikes all day. Deuce on #3 (223 ft) from
18 ft+ out.
Nick's Highlights: Some great drives that led to 3 missed
deuce opportunities. Good day, but there have been better.
Jesse's Highlights: Jesse joined another club today. He
joined the "Deuce Rim Denial Club" by having at
least 2 Deuce opportunities shot down by a rim shot..
Ross's Highlights: Ross is back after a medium length
hiatus and determined to rid himself of the Ole. He did,
but picked up the Swoop. If he's not careful that name may
stick. Solid day at the end of the round.

Week 17 was an hour early to accomodate for the Playoff
Game, GO PATS!.
Bill's Highlights: Bill's presence was the highlight.
Like the Oracles of old, Bill decended the mountain from
his secluded perch and gave us meer mortals a lesson. Specifically
in two cases; The first being a solid Deuce on #15 (232
ft.) from 30 ft+ out, the second being words of wisdom that
are not exactly safe for general audiences.
Nick's Highlights: Aside from the Deuce on # 15 (232
ft) from 21 ft+ out the real Shot was the the super roller
on #11 (341 ft) that "Circled the drain" and finally
rested about 25 ft+ out. Although putting skills turned
it into a 3.
Casey's Highlights: Casey is continuing his one man mission
to remove all trees on Frolf courses by periodically marking
them with Disc remnants. So dedicated is he that on #17
he marked 2 on his tee shot.
Jesse's Highlights: Showing up to play with the nastiest
videogame blister ever recorded is testament to Jesse's
love of the game. The highlight, we didn't get to witness
any puss-filled blister juice explosions. Kudos, my breakfast
thanks you.
Tina's Highlights: Playing a course with a 7 stroke par
increase and turning out a -1 average scoring performance,
nicely done!
I forgot to take the group photo this week, so you
get some Photoshop™ magic instead.

Week 16 marked the return of all the wind we magically
missed the week before.
Tim's Highlights: Not afraid to get down on his knees,
Tim went for the low approach to his putting. Solo Deuce
on #14 (~285 ft.) from 27 ft+ out.
Nick's Highlights: Lone deuce came late on # 16 (~316
ft.) from a downhill 15 ft+.
Jesse's Highlights: Fresh off the birthday Jesse rolled
in a nice score. Also, hit the solo light pole on #7.
Casey's Highlights: Casey also racked the pole on #7.
Rough day putting in the wind.
Tina's Highlights: Tina maintained her strong sub-100
scoring presence. Had some stellar approach shots.
Tatiana's Highlights: Shot of the day contender. Tatiana's fourth shot on #5 (360 ft.) sunk in from a monsterous 75 ft+ out. Fighting a strong cross wind the entire time.

Week 15 brought the strangest weather occurence ever.
The entire city of Las Vegas was pelted with high winds,
except Mt. Crest park where the weather was calm, sunny
and amazing.
Nick's Highlights: Monster drives led to some unique deuce
opportunities. 3 deuces to be exact. First on #8 (312 ft)
drive past the hole and back in from 27 ft+ out. Second
on #12 (315 ft) from 18 ft+ out. Third and most impressive
on #13 (295 ft) from past the hole and 15 ft+ out.
Jesse's Highlights: He finally had one of those days were
he strung it all together. If you tally the holes individually
Jesse was leading up to #6. Congrats
Tim's Highlights: Not as many poles hit today but Tim
did KLANG the tee box sign on #4 from #3. Tim was also having
a little trouble with the Hammer shot rolling O.B. on him.
Tina's Highlights: New discs in hand and new motivation.
Tina held off the newcomer Alyssa whom was up by 1 at the
turn.
Alyssa's Highlights: Newcomer Alyssa brought her High
Plains Desert frolf experience out to the Real Desert. First
comment "Not a lot of trees out here" must have
jinxed her as she proceeded to make it her personal mission
to tag every tree on the course. We won't even talk about
the errant Tee shot on #17.

Week 14 in the books as a beautiful day. Light 1-3 mph
breeze.
Nick's Highlights: Uno Dos at #17 (293 ft) from 24 ft+
out. Drive was past the hole and about 6 inches from O.B.
Tim's Highlights: Timmy tore it up with a Deuce Turkey
on the back. #14 (~285 ft) from 27 ft+ out, then #15 (~255
ft) from 12 ft+ out and then #16 (~316 ft) from 9 ft+ away.
Then blew the lead on #17 with an O.B. second shot. I must
also point out that while Tim may have tied the record for
Deuces in a round, he also SET the record for light poles
hit in a round. 3 times we heard the lovely KLANG!
Casey's Highlights: Casey was king of the second shot
today. Each one placing him in great position for a putt
or third shot. Solo Deuce on # 15 (~255 ft) from under a
tree and 33 ft+ out.
Jesse's Highlights: Back on the horse after a week off
and packing a brand new array of discs. Single Deuce on
#15 (~255 ft) from a big big 36 ft+ out.
Happy Birthday Mom!

Week 13, Shootout in the desert. Tim and I were tearing
it up until we hit the group of 14 at the turn. Then we
fell apart a little.
Nick's Highlights: Single deuce on the day coming late
on #14 (~285 ft) from 15 ft+ out.
Tim's Highlights: Single deuce from way out, 30 ft+, on
#16 (~316 ft).

Week 12 in the bag with a visit from the chilly East.
Nick's Highlights: It's a 57, lots of people would take
a 57. Double Deuce day. First on #3 (223 ft.) forehand shot
left a nice 18 ft+ shot. Second on #14 (~285 ft) from a
long 21 ft+.
Tim's Highlights: As much as we give him guff for the
"Bum Shot/Putt" its pretty damn effective. Double
Deuce day. First on #14 (~285 ft) from a solid 18 ft+ out.
Second one was colossal, coming on #18 (252 ft) from a way
out 42 ft+.
Casey's Highlights: Finally brought the Sharpie for Casey
to sign his ace. Double Deuce day as well. First on #14
(~285 ft) from 18 ft+ out. The second from a way way way
out 54ft+ on #18 (252 ft).
Fred's Highlights: The East Coast transplant is filing
a protest about O.B. rules but the paperwork is having trouble
moving through the system. Solid effort to hold off Jesse
in the first hole of the Playoff to capture 4th.
Jesse's Highlights: Jesse joined the Deuce Club. A very
modest celebration on #15 (~255 ft) from 18 ft+ out. We
actually had to celebrate for him. This shot trumped his
prior highlight which was a 40 ft+ 3rd shot on #12 (315
ft).
Tina's Highlights: Greatest 2 game improvement we've ever
recorded (I think, I'll have to double check). Going from
a 100 last week to a stellar 83 this week.

What can I say? Week 11 was cold, windy and windy, cold.
Bill's Highlights: We were mostly amazed that Bill was
mobile behind all those layers. Colossal 3rd shot and subsequent
putt on #10 (510 ft) for an eagle. Double Deuce for the day. The first coming early on #3 (223 ft) from 18 ft+ out. The second coming
later on #14 (~285 ft) from 18 ft+ out once again.
Nick's Highlights: Solid day, stellar forehand liner on
#13 (295 ft) that was 10 ft.+ passed the hole and 5 feet
to the right. O.B. fear prevented the deuce. But Deuce was in the air when later on at #15 (~255 ft) from way downtown at 30 ft+ away.
Jesse's Higlights: I told Jesse I wouldn't post it, but
he did it twice. Jesse came into the game with a "secret
weapon" in the form on new contact lenses. However.
They didn't seem to help him with the up close vision as
on two occasions his fairway shots crashed into trees no
more than 2 feet away from him. Oh, and on #17 Jesse drove
into the wind for a negative distance.
Tina's Highlights: Tina has decided on "Under 'em"
and is improving every week. Crazy wind was reaking havok
with her normal sniper-style putting.

Ah Week 10, how the O.B. birds cupeth runneth overeth.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSSA!
Nick's Highlights: Double Deuce, the first on #3 (223
ft) from 24 ft+ out after a slick forehander. The second
on #14 (~285 ft) from 9 ft+ away.
Casey's Highlights: Solid 66 to hold of Tim for second
place. Sweet Deuce on #15 (~255 ft) with a tap-in 5 ft+.
Tim's Higlights: Tim graced us all with a round full of
"Bum Shots". It feels awkward at first but as
it went on through the day we all loosened up and accepted
it at one point.
Jesse's Highlights: We all went O.B. on #13. Jesse loved
it so much he went for the Double O.B. That's all I got,
I await the day Jesse puts together a full round of goodness
and takes the top stop.
Ross's Highlights: Ross marks the opening of our International
Frolf League. A Canadian by trade he stepped up on his first
outing and put out a solid round despite the 91 end total.
Tina's Highlights: The eternal problem, Over 'em or Under
'em. We'll figure it out at some point. Solid solid round.

Week 9 came around with the beginning of winter, chilly
60-ish degrees.
Bill's Highlights: It happened. Bill shot an O.B. Free
round. Amazing.
Nick's Highlights: Ok, this one is pretty simple. ACE,
ACE, ACE! It was even captured on film. See below.
CAUTION. Headphones and sense of humor required.

Unofficial Week 8 outing. Meh, my site.
Nick H's Highlights: Water water, everywhere. I ponded two consecutive holes and lost a disc in the sea of Fall leaves.
Alyssa's Higlights: Strong putting presence. Just need to straighten out those first 2 shots.
Nick R's Highlights: First time out and took 3 holes before Nick was dialed in. Normally it take 9 holes.

Perfect weather for da frolf.

on #2 (308 ft) left with a 15ft+ shot and then again later
on #14 (~285 ft.) from 18 ft+ out.
Casey's Highlights: Casey got to know the Mountain Crest
service staff personally when he landed his drive on #2
on the roof of the gazebo. Another Double Deuce performance,
the first on #3 (223 ft.) from 10 ft+ out and partnered
with Tim on #14 (~285 ft) from 16 ft+ out.
Jesse's Highlights: Jesse broke into the 60's, next step
"All Aboard the Deuce Train".

Let's call this the start of the Frolf Season Bye Weeks.
Lots of Holidays and work deadlines and general "old
man-ness" prevented a large group today.
Nick's Highlights: Solo play record of 50 minutes for
a round. Nick had 8 chances for 2 that hit the rim and caused
a 3.

Gorgeous Day, lots of frolfer's out on the course. Week
6.
Nick's Highlights: No Deuces, but numerous Deuce attempts.
The highlight coming on the dogleg right #16 (280 ft), with
a forehand sidewinder left 24 ft+ out.
Tim's Highlights: Tim got the lesson of the century in
the form of putting school from the local LV homeless. He
also tied the O.B. record with 6 O.B.'s and 6 strokes.
Jesse's Highlights: Jesse just had a consistent day. First
trip to Sunset and experimentation with the Hammer.
Tina's Hightlights: Shot of the Day, Tee shot on #17 (265
ft). Tina somehow managed to drive for -3 feet after hitting
a tree.
Tatiana's Highlights: Tatiana came out and showed strong
progression in her drives and mid-range shots. She'll be
in the hunt soon, and boiling rabbits in no time.

New Season, Week 5. Gorgeous day, no wind and sunny skies.
Bring on the October Sunburns!
Bill's Highlights: After Last week's False Playoff, this
week we had our first "Official" sudden death
playoff. Bill took the Victory on #2.
Nick's Highlights: Only Deuce on the day coming from #8
(312 ft) from 24 ft+ away.
Jesse's Highlights: Massive 9 stroke improvement from
last week. Should put him right in contention for that middle
point spot.
Tina's Highlights: Tina's first outing after observing
started off with a bang. Hole #1 and 3 guys offer to let
us play through and we graciously deny and let them play
on, only the spawn their response "Oh they have a girl".
But our "girl" stepped up posting the first Female
2 digit Inagural outing. Great job.

New Season, Week 4. Holy Windy Opponent Batman. Gust from
15-25 mph. Didn't stop the crew from making a Huge outing.
Nick's Highlights: Shot of the Day: Wind aided ~384 ft
drive on #8.
** So Nick can't do basic math (mis-read columns on the
scorecard) and we had our first Sudden Death Playoff. Casey
v. Tim (Both accidentally scored 75) Playoff went to Tim
on #3. Good thind for calculators, sorry Timmy.
Casey's Highlights: Casey was the benefactor of Nick's
terrible math and of the same fortuitous roll Nick received
earlier on #4 (320 ft.).
Tim's Highlights: Tim is now the proud owner of his own
frolf discs, and what driver does he get? The one signed
and endorsed by the 2005 WOMEN'S Champion. Yes, that was
funny ALL DAY LONG.
Brent's Highlights: Brent makes a triumphant return to
the frolf league. Stellar play and excellent control of
the wind.
Jesse's Highlights: Jesse made a stellar debut round,
going O.B. free until #18. I think we forgot to tell him
that just because everyone else threw it into the parking
lot that it wasn't the right way to go. Jesse also was inducted
into the Frolf Crew with his new nickname, "Skippy".
Tatiana's Highlights: Continuing to improve here game,
the putting game was the showcase today.
Gina's Highlights: Gina's first outing and she was throwing
like a natural.
Attending but not playing was Ms. Tina. Cheerleader and
Jesse Distractor Extra-ordinairre.

New Season, Week 3. Fantastic Day. We seem to be back
in form judging from the tight scores and Deuce frequency.
Bill's Highlights: Back in Domination mode, Bill was on
a tare early on. Double Deuce on the back, 20 ft+ on #15
(approx. 255 ft.) and from 30 ft+ on #16 (approx 316 ft.)
Nick's Highlights: Feast or Famine was the name of the
game. Eary and Late Deuces, First Ever Deuce on #4 (320
ft) from 9 ft.+ out. The tee-shot veered to the right and
then proceeded to have the most amazing roll to circle around
the pin and drop. Deuce Two coming late on #15 (approx.
255 ft.) from 36 ft+ away. You'd think the early deuce would
be Shot of the Day, but Oh No! Drive on #8 took the spot
once again. Approximately 358 ft in the air (yes, wind aided
a little bit).
Tim's Highlights: Not only did Timmy "Buzz the Tower"
on #15 (approx. 255 ft.) for a 9 ft+ Deuce but he also had
an O.B. Free round. Possibly one of the very few ever recorded.
Tatiana's Highlights: Second outing and getting better,
Tatiana took 9 strokes off of her pace and at the end was
starting to level out her drives. Look out Timmy, challenger
for third place incoming.

New Season, Week 2. How appropriate is it that week 2
brings us right back into the mix with 10-20 mph winds?.
Tim's Highlights: First group win for Timmy "Rimmer".
Congrats.
Nick's Highlights: The lone Deuce on the day came early,
#3 (223 ft.) from 24 ft+ out. Mega drive on #8 of approx.
292 ft.
Bill's Highlights: Billy got a large glass of humble pie.
Talking early trash all week.
Tatiana's Highlights: First ever frolf outing for Tatiana.
Slow go getting the basics down but came on strong on the
back nine.

New Season, Week 1. Beautiful day outside, really glad we took the hiatus. Suprisingly we didn't have much "dust" to shake off.
Bill's Highlights: Barely eeking out the victory this
week with a stellar 59 showing. Early Deuce on #3 (223 ft)
from 35 ft+ out. 2nd Deuce came from #14 (~285 ft.) from
10 ft+ out.
Nick's Highlights: I'd have to check the archive but I
believe Nick had the first ever Double Eagle on #10 (510
ft). Also believe he scored one of the few Deuces on #17
(293 ft) from 21 ft+ out. Preceeded by the Deuce on #16
(316 ft) from 18 ft+ out.
Tim's Highlights: Timmy kept play tight (while proving
the Nickname of "Rimmer" is perfect) with a great
outting and 2 close end-game Deuces. First on #15 (~255
ft) from 6 ft out (a tap-in) and then again on #18 (252
ft) from a herculean 39 ft+ out.
Casey's Highlights: Casey was in the thick of it until
he was bitten by the O.B. Bug. Double O.B. on 10 and 13,
single O.B. on 11 and 16 quickly bumped him out of the 3-person
knot that we had at the turn.
